Note whether you are exploring, about to offer, already signed or waiting for completion. Put the next deadline at the top. If a cancellation deadline is near, reviewing your contract takes priority over general orientation. The official Rijksoverheid questionnaire helps identify what remains to arrange.
Use mortgage preparation for income, debts and an indication of borrowing capacity. Compare gross payments using your own amount, rate and term, keeping tax separate. Also prepare buyer’s costs and a reserve. These are different questions; a low monthly payment is not a loan commitment.
Obtain records on condition, use and ownership. Investigate uncertain building condition. For an apartment check division documents, rules, owners’ association charges and maintenance; for ground lease check the ground rent and terms. Alterations and holiday homes require their own use and permit checks.
Discuss finance, survey and other necessary conditions before becoming bound. After receiving the signed contract, distinguish the cooling-off period from agreed cancellation conditions. Record deadline, evidence and notification method. A bank refusal does not itself cancel your purchase; follow the contractual route in time.
Compare quotations and obtain the financing assessment before deadlines expire. With two properties include sale status, bridging and overlapping costs in your plan. When buying jointly, record own contributions, ownership and shared payments. Discuss separation and death arrangements with the notary too.
Check draft deeds, completion account, payment and condition at the final inspection. Ownership transfers through the notary and registration at Kadaster. Keep records and photographs. For a defect or dispute choose the relevant existing guide and record facts and notifications; use our help request for your specific question.

For each event, note the date, what happened and where the evidence is kept. Example: 3 October — letter received — correspondence folder.
Describe the solution you would like, such as an explanation of a deduction and repayment of the outstanding amount.
For example: which document is missing, who can provide it and what should I do first?
Record the date and its source. If unknown, note this and check promptly. This tool does not calculate or monitor deadlines.
These are your own notes. Confirm agreements with the other person; these notes do not prove their agreement.
This is your preparation, not a submitted request, objection or legally reviewed document. A tick records only your own progress. Check the procedure and deadline in the original letter.

Both help but answer different questions. Borrowing capacity concerns what a lender might allow; a payment scenario concerns a chosen loan. Include own funds, purchase costs and other recurring expenses before setting your offer.
