Chat, documents and speech
For AI answers, your question, necessary conversation context and attached files pass through our server to OpenAI. The answer returns through our server. When you use voice features, OpenAI also processes your recording or the text you ask to hear.
For the requested AI answer, we rely on performance of the requested service. This is not blanket permission to process medical, criminal or other sensitive personal data. Describe your situation without unnecessary identifying details. OpenAI does not use API content for model training by default. According to the provider, security logs may generally be retained for up to 30 days, with exceptions. Processing may take place outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Starting a new conversation does not erase earlier processing at OpenAI.
Without separate consent, we do not retain ordinary chats and files in our own archive. The active conversation disappears when you reload or start a new conversation. Service providers may retain temporary technical data. Only share necessary information and obscure sensitive data in documents beforehand. Files are not automatically anonymised.
More about chat and documentsRequest a lawyer or another specialist
For a request, we need your name, email address, telephone number and request for help. You confirm your email address and that you want telephone contact. You can check and edit a chat summary before submitting it. Your full conversation and files are not sent automatically.
We handle your request and, after your separate consent, share data with one suitable partner whom we select and who accepts the request. You decide whether to instruct that partner. Request data remains in the active register for a maximum of 30 days; our search period is a maximum of 48 hours from submission. You can chat without a telephone number.
Data sharing, time limits and consentMy overview
With your consent, we store selected questions, answers and preparations so that you can continue later. We store the title, language, content, time and your consent. You log in with your email address and password. We store your email address and a secure derivative of your password, not the password itself. For registration and password recovery, you receive a single-use email link valid for 30 minutes. A secure session cookie keeps you logged in for up to 30 days on this device. After password recovery, earlier sessions and recovery links expire. Accounts are not automatically merged. We use an account identifier to restrict access to your saved content. The content is not automatically shared with partners or used for the answer bank. Registration is not a newsletter subscription. We use necessary account data for access and security; we ask for separate consent to save content.
An item is available for one year after saving or updating it. After that, it is no longer visible and is deleted at the next successful cleanup during use or nightly maintenance. You can delete it earlier yourself and thereby withdraw your consent. Unconfirmed email registrations are cleaned up after one day on the next use. An email account with no available items is deleted at the next cleanup after one year without a login. You can also request account deletion through our contact page. Download anything you wish to keep. Do not share unnecessary personal data. More about saving and access. Open My overview.
Feedback and contributions
Giving feedback and contributing to the answer bank are voluntary. We ask for separate consent to store submitted text. Contributions remain private for review and are retained for a maximum of 30 days. You can withdraw consent and request deletion. A positive rating contains no conversation text.
Cookies and statistics
We remember your language and privacy choice. Necessary cookies support login and security. Only with your consent do we use Google Analytics to measure visits, navigation and use of the chat and request service. We do not send questions, answers, documents or contact details. Refusing has no effect on the chat.
More about cookies and your choiceSchool lessons and accounts
For a teacher account, we use your email address, school and information to confirm your role. With a class code, we store pupils' progress and answers; the teacher sees progress, requests for help and submitted assignments. A lesson group is accessible for 30 days. When practising independently without a code, we do not store answers on our server.
For professional accounts, we use business contact, registration and billing details. We use these to manage participation and check expertise and authorisation.
