Consumer law applications for lawyers
Not every consumer complaint requires a lawyer. Sometimes initial information or a letter is sufficient. If someone seeks further legal assistance, the key matters for your firm are what has already been attempted, what the desired outcome is and what work is requested.
Examples of help requests
- A purchase dispute concerning a defective or undelivered product.
- A dispute concerning a subscription or refund.
- A service that the visitor believes was not performed properly.
What the intake records
The visitor describes the complaint and desired assistance. The fixed price classification uses work and case file scope; the purchase price is not an automatic measure. A request for general explanation does not automatically become a paid introduction: a separate wish for contact and firm selection are required for that.
Documents for your own intake
This is a checklist for building your own file after contact, not a list of documents that the platform has already received or checked.
- Order confirmation, agreement or invoice.
- Relevant terms and messages with the provider.
- A concise timeline of delivery, complaint and response.
What your firm assesses itself
After contact, check which party entered into the agreement and which solution is sought. Discuss whether your costs are proportionate to the interest at stake and whether another complaints route would be more appropriate. The platform has not determined the validity of the complaint or the possibility of recovery.
Scope and urgent situations
A low purchase price does not rule out a complex dispute; a high purchase price does not automatically make a case file extensive. Funding that is still unknown, insurance or a request for legal aid requires further assessment before offering.
Is every chat question about a warranty sent to a lawyer?
No. The chat provides initial information. Only a separately submitted assistance request expressing a wish for contact may be assessed for referral. Your firm does not automatically receive the full chat history.
Costs and terms
Your firm sees the category price in advance. Registration is free. An introduction is not an instruction and provides no revenue guarantee.
