Check the agreed payment date
Holiday pay is usually paid once a year. It may also be paid monthly if this is clearly stated on the payslip and the arrangement is legally valid. Therefore, check every payslip and your collective labour agreement.
Calculate the missing holiday allowance
The statutory holiday allowance is generally at least 8% of the wages on which it must be calculated. Exceptions or different arrangements may apply to high incomes and certain wage components.
Claim the amount in writing
State the accrual period, your calculation and a payment deadline. In the event of late wage payment, the statutory increase and interest may be relevant. Keep the letter and proof of sending.
