What your firm assesses itself
After the introduction, discuss for whom you act and whether individual advice, consultation or litigation assistance is requested. First check for any conflicts of interest. Request sensitive family information selectively and collect no more information than necessary for your assessment.
Scope and urgent situations
In the event of unsafe circumstances or a very short deadline, immediate appropriate assistance is needed. The route is not an emergency service. A request for legal aid is a separate declaration and is further reviewed before offering; eligibility is not thereby established.
Is an application also a joint mediation request?
No. One visitor's wish for contact does not mean that the other party agrees to mediation or joint assistance. Your firm must discuss the desired role and the terms of any engagement itself.
