Taking leave during the notice period
You can request to take your remaining holiday days. The normal rules for requesting and refusing leave continue to apply; agree your final working day in writing.
Payment at the end of the contract
Unused statutory holiday days normally may not be bought out during employment, but payment is permitted at the end of the contract. Additional days may be subject to different arrangements and expiry periods.
Check the value
Compare the balance in hours or days on your payslip with your own records and check which salary component is used to settle the hours.

Record what happened, when, the response and where to find the letter, message or photo. Mark uncertain dates.
Is my evidence sent?
No. You only note where it is kept. No files are uploaded or sent automatically.

For each event, note the date, what happened and where the evidence is kept. Example: 3 October — letter received — correspondence folder.
Describe the solution you would like, such as an explanation of a deduction and repayment of the outstanding amount.
For example: which document is missing, who can provide it and what should I do first?

After your conversation
These are your own notes. Confirm agreements with the other person; these notes do not prove their agreement.
This is your preparation, not a submitted request, objection or legally reviewed document. A tick records only your own progress. Check the procedure and deadline in the original letter.

Frequently asked questions
Can my employer require me to take all days?
This does not automatically follow from the end of the employment relationship. Review your collective labour agreement, contract and holiday arrangements and ask for written reasons.
Are holiday days taxed?
Paid-out holiday hours are processed as salary. The payslip shows the withholding; your total tax is determined through the tax return.
