How do I request an income statement (IB60)?
What would you like help with?
Detailed explanation, checklist and sources
Download the official income statement for the correct tax year in Mijn Belastingdienst. First check which document the receiving organisation requires. Availability depends partly on the year and whether a compulsory return has already been processed.

1. Check what the recipient requires
An income statement, also called IB60, shows the income registered with the Dutch Belastingdienst for a tax year. A housing association or another organisation may request one. Check which year and document are required. A tax return is a different document; an assessment may sometimes be an accepted alternative.
2. Download the correct year's statement
Go directly to Mijn Belastingdienst and select Inkomensverklaring downloaden for the required year. Save the official PDF and check the year. The electronic statement has a digital signature. Our preparation download below is only a checklist and is not itself an official income statement.
3. Is 2025 not yet available?
For 2025, the Belastingdienst states that statements are available from March 2026 if you do not have to file, from April after filing a compulsory return, and from June if you have no income. In the last case, no income data may be registered. After filing, registration is usually ready within a week, but busy periods can extend this to three months. An empty record does not automatically establish that your income is zero.
4. An older tax year
According to the official guidance checked, statements for 2020–2024 are available digitally. For 2012–2019, contact the BelastingTelefoon; the source states that the statement is sent within a week. Statements for years before 2012 are no longer supplied. Provide any identification details only through official contact.
5. This is not the non-resident statement
The income statement for a person living outside the Netherlands who wishes to file as a qualifying non-resident taxpayer follows a different procedure. Use the separate official guidance for that situation. For entrepreneurs, a recent provisional or final assessment may be more appropriate; agree this with the organisation requesting the information.
6. Prepare your next step
Record the recipient, document type, year and submission deadline. Check the official download and, if it is unavailable, ask which alternative the recipient accepts. Do not unnecessarily share the financial document in a general chat. If information is wrong or an application is refused, use our own assistance form to have the next step assessed.
Is your preparation download an official income statement?
No. Only the Belastingdienst issues the official statement. Our download helps you choose the correct document and year and keep track of your next steps.

For each event, note the date, what happened and where the evidence is kept. Example: 3 October — letter received — correspondence folder.
Describe the solution you would like, such as an explanation of a deduction and repayment of the outstanding amount.
For example: which document is missing, who can provide it and what should I do first?
Record the date and its source. If unknown, note this and check promptly. This tool does not calculate or monitor deadlines.
