Which Wajong scheme do I have and how much will I receive?
The amount depends on your scheme, UWV’s work-capacity assessment, age and income. A maximum of 70% or 75% of the minimum (youth) wage is not a guaranteed net monthly payment. Start with your decision and statement.

1. Identify your scheme
Old Wajong concerns awards before 2010; Wajong 2010 concerns 2010–2014; Wajong 2015 starts in 2015. Reapplying retains the same type. Check the original decision; a new letter does not itself change your regime.
2. Separate first and repeat claims
New Wajong 2015 requires permanently no work capacity. Older schemes can also cover people with capacity. Use our existing application page for a first claim; do not infer from a work attempt alone that entitlement ends.
3. Check the percentage
With capacity under oldWajong/2010 the basic maximum is 70% of minimum(youth)wage; permanently without capacity 75%. Age and wage changes affect the basis. Higher benefit for long-term care or another supplement requires separate conditions.
4. Check earnings
UWV generally offsets 70% of earnings with capacity and 75% without lasting capacity. These are gross rules, not guaranteed net gains. A guarantee amount, wage dispensation, another UWV benefit or self-employment may alter treatment. Use the official calculator and your decision.
5. Compare the same period
Compare the same month’s decision, basis, capacity, insured wage, awarded guarantee amount and deductions. Net payment appears on the statement. Do not multiply an hourly minimum wage by arbitrary hours to estimate your monthly entitlement.
6. Prepare your next step
Report work/income changes through UWV’s official route within a week. Ask about discrepancies; for a disputed decision check its objection instructions and deadline. Do not stop work solely on this explanation. Our preparation submits nothing and does not assess your capacity.
Does everyone get 75% net?
No. Scheme and capacity determine the basis; earnings and deductions also matter. These are maximum percentages of the relevant basis, not guaranteed net payments.
