When are healthcare, rent, childcare and child-budget allowances paid?

These benefits are normally paid around the twentieth for the following month. Check both the official payment date and the month it covers. Then use your own payment status to choose the next step; a general calendar does not prove entitlement. The same official calendar also covers childcare allowance and kindgebonden budget. The latter is not SVB’s quarterly child benefit. Always check your own award and payment status.

Detailed explanation, checklist and sources
On this page

1. Check the benefit month

The official calendar lists, for example, 20 October for November 2026. Use the current source for other months; do not substitute a guessed date.

2. Distinguish date from time

Payment timing depends on your bank. Dienst Toeslagen says transfers are made by midnight; different benefits can arrive separately.

3. First application?

A first application needs a decision first. Previous eligible months accompany the first payment; applications for 2025 await the final calculation.

4. Check payment status

In Mijn toeslagen check 'Uitbetaald', 'Meldingen' and your latest advance decision. A change can explain a lower or zero payment.

5. Compare annual amount and transfer

The displayed monthly average can differ from the transfer because of earlier advances. Set-off can also apply; check the explanation for your calculation.

6. Prepare your follow-up question

Note benefit, month, expected and received amount and relevant decision. If unclear, contact Dienst Toeslagen or use our help request. Never share DigiD codes.

My healthcare benefit arrived but my rent benefit did not. Is something definitely wrong?

No. Different benefits need not arrive together. Check the official payment date and then the missing benefit's status.
