What would you like help with?
Did you receive notice that at least 70% of ten or more affected households agreed? An eight-week period may apply for a court assessment.
Detailed explanation, checklist and sources
If you must move temporarily or permanently because of renovation, you may be entitled to compensation under certain conditions. The distinction between renovation and ordinary maintenance is important.

Request the full renovation proposal
The proposal must make clear which work will be carried out, how long it will take, whether you can remain living there, what temporary accommodation is available, and what the consequences are for rent and costs.
Renovation or maintenance
An improvement or alteration of the home differs from necessary maintenance. Where there is a combination, rights and compensation may differ. Ask for a breakdown for each activity.
Document damage and costs
Keep quotations, moving invoices, photographs, additional travel costs and correspondence. Do not sign a final waiver before it is clear which compensation and any rent increase apply.

For each event, note the date, what happened and where the evidence is kept. Example: 3 October — letter received — correspondence folder.
Describe the solution you would like, such as an explanation of a deduction and repayment of the outstanding amount.
For example: which document is missing, who can provide it and what should I do first?
